5 Helpful Phrases To Express Your Excitement In Ukrainian
Can you show your enthusiasm with more phrases and sentences than just “мені це подобається” and “я це люблю”?

1. Бути до вподоби (buty do vpodoby) – to be (right) up one’s alley.
E.g. Ця робота мені до вподоби. –
This job is right up my alley.
2. Імпонувати (imponuvaty) – to appeal to.
E.g. Mені імпонує твій стиль одягу. –
Your clothing style appeals to me.
3. Приглянутися (pryhlianutysia) – to take a precise look at something/is used to say about something (someone) that made an impression on someone.
E.g. Мені приглянулись ті чоботи (meni pryhlianulys ti choboty). –
I like those boots.
4. Припадати до серця (до душі) (prypadaty do sertsia (do dushi) – to catch someone’s fancy.
E.g. Мері припала йому до душі. –
Mary caught his fancy.
5. Впадати (в(у)пасти) в око (в очі, у вічі) (vpadaty (v(u)pasty) v oko (v ochi, u vichi) – to catch someone’s eye.
E.g. Так багато гарних речей упали мені в очі на базарі. –
So many cool things caught my eye in the bazaar.
